The development of studies to improve dairy and beef cattle handling in the different regions of the country is one of the main activities of Conapec Jr, a non-profit entity of educational, social, cultural and technological nature created in 1993, based in the UNESP University, Botucatu, serviced by the students of the courses of Veterinary Medicine, Zoo-Techny and Agronomy, in coordination with Prof. Dr. José Luiz Moraes Vasconcelos, and maintains focus on studies and experiments in dairy and beef cattle husbandry.
Conapec Jr gives students the chance to see the problems encountered in the market, and the possibility to present the best technological solution to aid producers and breeders in the segment.
Conapec Jr idealized the 22nd edition of the course on “New Approaches in Bovine Production and Breeding,” which was held on March 22 and 23, in Uberlândia-MG, where speakers shared information about the latest studies conducted in the United States and addressed topics such as the various types of stress that occur in herds and damage the production efficiency.
The Technical Manager of Ruminants of Tectron, Leandro Cecato, spoke about the importance of this type of events in the technical development of the team to detect problems faced by the dairy and beef cattle.
“The event facilitates the study of the topic, taking into account the situation in other countries; since renowned researchers from American and Canadian universities participated addressing highly important issues, such as nutrition, immunity, health and reproduction, also fostering the technical update and networking at national level, by gathering in a same encounter, technicians from all over the country and producers from the dairy and beef market,”Leandro concluded.
